Hi Friendddd!
We all have our spending rules—the things we’re happy to spendddd on and the areas where we’d rather cut back. And the truth is, financial success isn’t just about saving every penny or spending without thinking—it’s about balance and making intentional choices.
So today, I’m giving you a peek into the things I gladly splurge on because they genuinely add value to my life—and the things I just can’t justify paying top dollar for 😅.
💸 My Splurges (Things I Will Always Spend On)
✅ Nails & Skincare – Because self-care matters, and there’s just something about looking at well-done nails that brings me so much joy—priceless! As for skincare? A budget moisturizer isn’t touching my face. It’s premium or nothing! 🙅🏽♀️
✅ Quality Clothes (Not necessarily designer!) – I used to buy the cheapest clothes possible, but now I prioritize good fabric, fit, and durability. It doesn’t have to be luxury—just well-made.
✅ Perfumes & Handbags – A signature scent and a nice handbag? Worth it. Even if I’m wearing a £10 top, a good bag and perfume elevates everything 👜 .
✅ Household Items – If I’m sleeping on it, sitting on it, or using it daily, it has to be good quality. That’s why I now only buy 400+ thread count, 100% cotton bedsheets—because sleep is sacred! Also, a good sofa, cookware, and appliances that won’t break in 6 months? Absolutely worth it.
💰 My Saves (Things I Won’t Spend Too Much On)
💡 Makeup – I’m bare-faced 90% of the time, so spending hundreds on makeup doesn’t make sense for me. A good lip gloss and a little foundation? That’s all I need.
💡 Wigs – I love a good wig, but I haven't reached the point where I’m comfortable dropping £400+ on one 😅. The wigs I have are solid, and they get the job done!
💡 Car – Right now, we’re in the process of buying a car, and a secondhand one makes way more financial sense. The moment you drive a brand-new car off the lot, it loses value instantly. Also buying a car whether new or old on finance is not for us.
💡 Trendy Things – Every few months, there’s a new “must-have” item—Stanley cups, the Korean skincare frenzy, £300 AirPod Max headphones—but I just don’t get the hype 🤷🏽♀️. I generally stay away from trendy purchases, especially when they don’t add real value to my life.
If my £10 water bottle still does the job, why am I spending £40+ on an insulated cup?

Hello there. My name is Adrienne and I also live in the Uk. I was wandering if I can have a chat with you about a problem I am having. I watched your video on On demand printing which was good and very informative. However, I am trying to follow your instruction but finding it a bit difficult. I spent money on the Fiverr platform to get a freelancer to help me do exactly what you demonstrated in your video and have run into difficulty with the person understanding what they are doing. I am desperate to talk to you and seek advice and if needs be I am willing to pay you for your time. I believe you know what you are doing and will be able to teach on a one to one basis.
Regards
Adrienne.
