Hi ya! In this week's chaos, I forgot to jot down things in my outline for this email. Usually, I make a note of things I want to share in this email throughout the week, but I didn't do that this week because of how busy my schedule was. It totally escaped my mind. So we're gonna wing it in today's email 🙃.
I just finished reconciling my accounts for March - tracking my income and expenses from all my bank accounts to see how I'm doing financially. I do this every month. I'm glad to announce that the No-Spend March plan worked 😁. I barely spent any money on shopping or clothing, so my March expenses are significantly lower than in February, which is what I was aiming for.
That aside, it's my birth month!🥳 I was born on the 17th of April. And I'm looking forward to my birthday mainly because I will celebrate it outside the UK. I will share subsequent deets regarding my trip later.
Also, someone who follows me on Instagram recommended me for a speaking gig at one of the biggest consultancy firms in the UK! I don't know who the person is, but I am deeply grateful. I am strongly encouraged to keep showing up online and sharing valuable content ✨.
😖 What I worked on this week
I was in Birmingham on Thursday and Friday, making final trips and calls for a company event on Friday evening. It's been a chore to plan all aspects of the event, but I'm so glad it turned out fine. Of course, as with most events, there are lessons learned regarding elements of the event that can be improved, but generally, from the feedback survey, people were pleased with the event. So, yay me! 👏🏽
Asides from planning and hosting the event, I had to conduct a couple of interviews this week for a role we're looking to fill, create a proposal document for an ad campaign, close some negotiation conversations, work with the team on the monthly newsletter, then edited and proofread it and also managed the setting up of a team in Nigeria. So it was a hectic week. But, looking at my calendar for the week ahead, it seems manageable; I'm hoping it stays that way 🤞🏽.
🙅🏽♀️ Habit tracker
It's the end of March, and I did pretty well with the habits I tried building. Here's what my tracker looks like:
I attended an event in London on Wednesday evening, and my return train was delayed. As a result, I got home late and wasn't in bed at 10 PM. That was the only day I missed, and it was mostly beyond my control. Nevertheless, I'm still proud of my progress and will continue building these habits in April.
