Hey Friend,
I am actually a bit feverish as I type this; I have been having headaches for most of today. But I chose to sit up and write this because I want to commit to writing this dispatch email every Sunday evening.
👩🏽💻 So, what did I work on today?
I edited my youtube video to perfection, created a thumbnail then uploaded and scheduled it to Youtube.
🤔 What’s on my mind?
I’ve been having this exhausting feeling that I don’t earn as much as I should from content creation, and I’ve also been having a constant urge to quit. I started off my youtube channel sharing my student experience as an international student in the UK, and ever since I stopped creating content in that niche, it feels as though I have lost my drive. Showing up weekly now feels like a chore, and mind you, this is something I used to enjoy doing, but these days it’s draining.
I have been consoling myself with the fact that change is constant and that it’s OK for me to change and evolve my content.
I am also in a headspace where I am just looking for resources and information to help me:
i. Earn more from content creation
ii. Get back in touch with my WHY
And I already have a list of resources I want to pay for, and one is a $799 course by Ali Abdaal. It’s a lot for me, but 😅I’m saving towards it because I believe it will be immensely valuable to me. I also purchased a 3-part book bundle on content marketing and pitching today, which I have already started reading.
Once I’m done writing this email, I will work on my rate card. The book on pitching and profits already gave me insights on what to improve and how to position myself better to work with brands.
💡What I’m learning
I recently finished reading my third book for the month of September - Show your work by Austin Kleon. You can read my summary and key lessons from the book.
I liked this tweet that explained that there are situations where the truth is not only cruel but unnecessary. Basically, sometimes you refrain from speaking the truth if it’s unkind. In situations like that, what matters is to be kind than right.
✍🏽 Quote of the week
Become a documentarian of what you do. Take people behind the scenes and share your process.

Until another Dispatch next Sunday, drink lots of water and stay hydrated.
